Football Icon, Diego Maradona Fumes as Nigeria Super Eagles wallop Argentina

One of the most decorated and most celebrated footballers of all time, Diego Maradona, is fuming over the dramatic loss of Argentina to Nigeria.
Diego Maradona, the Argentine football legend, stated his desire to have another coaching opportunity with the Argentina national team, after Tuesday’s 4-2 defeat in a friendly against Nigeria.
It willbe recalled that Nigeria fought back from two goals down in the match staged in Krasnodar, while Jorge Sampaoli’s side was without Lionel Messi for their second of two matches in Russia.
Maradona, a former Argentina captain and manager, published a comparative table on his Instagram account showing that his period as a coach of the team had the highest efficiency among all the managers that led Argentina since the 1970s.
“Who wins more ?? Let’s draw our conclusions, I’m mad because they give away our prestige, but the players are not the ones to blame, I WANT TO RETURN !!!” Maradona wrote.
In the graphic posted by Maradona, he achieved 75 percent efficiency, with 18 victories and six defeats in 24 matches during his tenure as Argentina coach, including the World Cup in South Africa, a tournament in which he was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
In second place is Gerardo Martino, who appears with 74 percent in 29 games.
Then Alejandro Sabella, runner-up in Brazil 2014, with 72 percent in 41 games, Alfio Basile and Marcelo Bielsa, both with 70 percent in 48 and 68 games, respectively.

Dangote disposes his Business to a Rival Company

A unit of Dangote Group of Companies has been sold to a rival company for a few billions of naira which will see it take over its factories across Nigeria.  A unit of Dangote Flour Mills, Dangote Noodles Limited, has sold two production lines to rival pasta maker, De United Foods Industries, for N3.75bn ($12.26m), the company said on Tuesday. De United said it had signed an agreement with Dangote Noodles to buy plants at its Ikorodu and Calabar factories. It will also buy stock worth N383.94m, according to a report by Reuters. The deal comes after Dangote sold a small stake in its cement business to foreign investors in a one-off stock market deal valued at N27bn. Dangote Flour Mills, majority owned by Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, had said it wanted to quit the noodles business to focus on flour and pasta production. Nigeria’s noodle market is fiercely competitive and De United, with a market share of around 70 per cent, is seeking to consolidate the sector.
